About Jade Jaarda

I'm a costume designer and seamstress working with digital and traditional methods of design and construction to create garments you can feel comfortable, excited, and proud to wear.

When my designs aren't inspired by a script, they're influenced by my environments. Surrounded by the birds and plants of the midwest, I take the tiny beauties of "mundane" everyday life and create garments highlighting the magnificence of their detail.

Additionally, I work locally on repairs, and alterations: Hems, holes, and anything that needs to be taken in or out to fit you better and make you more comfortable in your favorite garments. Contact me if you're in the area looking for alterations!
